We select only the most appropriate varieties of potatoes for making the finest crisps. All our potatoes are 100% New Zealand grown and are sourced direct from the farm in the fertile plains of South Canterbury. We declare which variety has been used on the back of every packet and this changes throughout the year as different varieties come into season.
Sure it's expensive, but we reckon it's worth it. Pure sunflower oil is renowned as one of the best oils for making crisps as it imparts very little flavour. It is cholesterol free and low in saturated fats (bad fats) and high in monounsaturated fats (good fats).
Solar harvested from the salt beds of Lake Grasmere on the Marlborough coast, our sea salt is 100% natural and we use it sparingly so as not to overpower the potato flavour of the crisp.
